Neil
S. Grigg
is a professor of civil engineering and former director of the Colorado
Water Resources Research Institute at Colorado State University.
After receiving his Ph.D. degree at Colorado State in 1969, he worked
at the University of Denver for three years, and then joined C.S.U.s
faculty where he has worked since 1972, except for a fiveyear
stint in North Carolina. There, he directed North Carolinas
Water Resources Research Institute and served three years in state
government where he also worked on water problems. Neils main
work over the years has been to study and write about water issues
around the world. His textbook, Water Resources Management: Principles
and Cases, is used around the globe. In 1988, he was appointed
by the U.S. Supreme Court as the River Master of the Pecos River.
He has also served as head of Colorado States Civil Engineering
Department and on numerous boards and commissions around the United
States.
